Why? Because Blizzard doesn't always = World of Warcraft.
It's a vote for the best MMOstudio. WOW is the only thing that matters.

And the World of Warcraft expansions show a lot of work. Even if some people think they "suck", Northrend has some awesome visuals despite the archaic graphics engine. They put a lot more into their expansions and their game with each expansion.
Lot of what? First guilds to clear all WotLK content took less than 72 hours. It left some questions on those players mind:
"This is both a moment of triumph and a cause for concern. The question in all our minds right now is if we could do this, how soon until the rest of the top guilds in the world clear all the raid content that WOTLK has to offer?"
"Did Blizzard miscalculate in the tuning of these encounters? Or is this Blizzard folding under the weight of a large casual player base that demands to be on equal footing with end-game"
Originally by: Reven Cordelle Their products have better prescence on the market (i'm still in awe at the content of my ú49.99 WOTLK Collectors Edition, the amount of things you get, for less than the average console game... Its awesome.)
Blizz are the most successful, have some serious revenue and are the most recognised.
It's propably the most commercially succesful game ever made. It's going to have the best market presense and has enough die hard fans, that making those special products are commercially a viable option.

At the end of the day, one game doesn't dictate who is the "best". In my mind, If i was voting on the "best" MMO studio, It would be on the most successful. Which, unfortunately for the CCP fanboys, is Blizzard.
Success doesn't equal best quality in all aspects. WOW is a good themepark game, where everyone is a winner no matter what they do. At the time it was released, it didn't offer anything others hadn't done before. Blizzard just did what it did with warcraft and starcraft. It copied the ideas of others and modified it enough to not get sued, while refining the playability to perfection. If you think it deserved to be voted for the best MMO studio, then vote for it. I don't care for what Blizzard decided to do with WOW, but compared to most MMOs, it has nothing to be ashamed of.

And to be honest, EVE "expansions" compared to even free to play MMOs, are dreadful. They aren't even worthy of being expansions... they're more or less content patches. Sure you don't pay for them... but thats because theres **** all in them. A few tweaked models, a new ship, some adjusted numbers...
EVE expansions are also about new mechanics, not just static content. This is a sandbox not a theme park like WOW. Although this latest EVE expansion was weak in both aspects. More like standard rebalancing and performance impovements, that were welcome, but do not an expansion make.

If Ambulation ever sees the light of day, Thats a real expansion, and thats when CCP will nail their name onto the map. Adding something that NO-ONE has done yet in the MMO Market, and providing their extreme amount of detail will result in people becoming a lot more interested in EVE.
More like what everyone has done on the MMO map and CCP is late to the party. Ambulation will propably be very simple at first, like most new things when first introduced to EVE. Since direct controls of avatars will be limited to social interaction only, adding as much detail and things to do, is the only way CCP can make it work. I hope you are right about CCP achieving something unique with ambulation and really giving something special after years of waiting. Personally I think it will do that eventually, but propably not at first.
